The Present Condition
The world that took shape in my earlier works continues in this exhibition, through the same forms, faces, and figures born from the interplay of imagination, nature, and inner experience. This time, however, the figures are clothed and appear in a more familiar guise: characters who might belong to everyday life and the world around us. Their presence feels familiar, yet remains tinged with ambiguity.
These figures occupy a state between readiness and unreadiness, as though preparing to attend an event whose occasion and destination remain unclear. Appearing alongside one another, they form an image of the present condition—a state in which the boundaries between individuality and collectivity, familiarity and ambiguity, presence and anticipation remain unsettled.
