The current exhibition by Ali Malek consists of two series: homing pigeons and car enthusiasts with bulging eyes. Ali Malek began working on the first series under the influence of his frequent visits to a bird market near Tehran and his deep interest in carrier pigeons. He has been going to this market for years and has experienced life with birds, studying their behavior. Near this market, there is a large center for car services, repairs, and customization, which he also frequents, observing and documenting events. The combination of these two series in this exhibition is the result of the juxtaposition of his two favorite subjects, namely homing pigeons and the culture of car enthusiasts and ardent lovers of car customization, which, in his opinion, as two different and even unrelated things, create a link between the artist, the exhibition, and what is exhibited.
