    • Kazhal Fakhri

Kazhal Fakhri (b. 1989, Kermanshah, Iran) is a Tehran-based visual artist focused on drawing,
printmaking, and painting. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran
(BA, Painting, 2014; MA, Illustration, 2017) and English Language and Literature from the Faculty of
Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Tehran (BA, 2011). In her work, Kazhal
explores themes such as the fragility and delicacy of natural phenomena and relevant analogies with
human experience. As so, her work is a study of integrity in the bodies of things, and how an object’s
totality is defined and observed within its structure. Her pieces frequently derived from alterations
made on photographs, and using meticulous technique, reference the realistic qualities found in
      photography.
