Fahimeh Haghighi
Born 1988, Isfahan, Iran
Fahimeh Haghighi is a visual artist with a Master’s degree in Painting. Her practice explores the
contradictions and unexpected aspects of everyday life through personal experiences,
imagination, and observations of social relationships. Working across painting and other visual
media, she uses fragmented imagery, unusual situations, and altered familiar elements to create
narratives that move between reality and imagination.
Humour is central to her work, serving as a way to confront reality and question social values,
beliefs, and relationships. She is also interested in how cultural and social contexts shape the
interpretation of images, particularly in relation to the body, identity, and the human condition.
