Yasamin Salehi (b. 1983, Isfahan, Iran) A handcraft graduate from University of Kashan, obtained her specialty in the field of ceramic with an emphasis on volume concept. Painting has been accompanying her since 2013, manifesting itself in the form of various collections with different approaches from 2017 on.
In 2019 though, a turning point showed up upon her point of view towards painting. To spread a new path for depicting mind concepts, she volumized her painting sketches benefitting from savings of learning in her ceramic activities knapsack. Through daily practice of taking pictures from everything going on around her life, she implemented these ideas in the form of installations in order to meet her mind concepts in their most explicit form, being subject to analysis. Project “Puddle” can be referred to as an example of such a view that was implemented in various urban spaces, contributing effectively in the formation of Yasamin’s present collection.
Her last collection, though, is an explicit presentation of her own life. A reflection of her personal endeavour for the sake of exploring all structures -maybe even so invisible- surrounding her. The artist’s everyday rebellion and revelation for the purpose of spotting her desired colors on this very structure.
